WCR Incorporated, the largest domestic manufacturer of replacement heat exchanger plates and gaskets, recently received the 3-A Sanitary Standards Inc. (SSI) Replacement Parts and System Component Qualification Certificate (RSPCQC) for its direct replacement heat exchanger plates and gaskets supporting a number of OEM models.
Originally developed as a requirement for the dairy industry, the 3-A certification program uses a third-party verification process to affirm the integrity of hygienic processing equipment and systems supporting the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Authorization to display the registered 3-A Symbol on dairy and food processing equipment conveys assurance that the equipment meets specific design criteria and sanitary standards.

Under the new 3-A certification, WCR supplies direct replacement heat exchanger plates and gaskets for a range of 11-10 plate-type heat exchanger models, including the R5 Series, VT Series, Clip Series and several others.
