The Sr Accountant will handle high-level accounting and oversee financial activities of the International company(s) including revenue accounting, external & internal invoicing, month end close, sales tax, account reconciliation approval, and various system administrations. Will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and will assist with development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of the Company’s accounting transactions and journal entries.
  • Complete annual financial statements, notes to financial statements, and other required items.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-to-date financial statements for management’s internal use together with appropriate analytic comments and supporting schedules and statistics.
  • Coordinate monthly closing with the other accounting staff to insure proper cut-off and inclusion of all transactions.
  • Review or prepare monthly bank statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform and complete special projects and duties as requested by CFO

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Exposure to Sage 100 a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
